Imphal, Nov 23: The Sponsoring Committee of Trade Unions in Manipur today announced its support to the countrywide satyagraha, called by the Sponsoring Committee of Trade Unions, from December 4-6, against the alleged failure of the UPA government at the Centre to implement the Common Minimum Programme.

Co-convenor of the Committee Ksh Santa said the satyagraha will be organised against the ''anti-people and anti-worker policies of the UPA government,'' led by the Congress and supported by the Left Front.

The state unit will also submit memoranda to the Manipur Governor and Chief Minister.

The Committee also demanded unilateral ceasefire with all militant groups operating in Manipur, checking the price hike and corruption and taking up land reforms.
