Onion growers block Jalgaon-Pune highway at Ahmednagar

Ahmednagar, Nov 22 (UNI) About 500 onion growers today blocked the Jalgaon-Aurangabad-Ahmednagar-Pune highway here for five hours, causing traffic jam.

The agitating farmers blocked the 15 km stretch at around 1300 hrs, because of which, the vehicular traffic came to a standstill.

The highway was reopened for vehicular traffic at around 1900 hrs, police sources said.
