National Minorities panel team to visit Nandigram, Kolkata

New Delhi, Nov 23 (UNI) A two-member fact-finding team of the National Minorities Commission will be visiting Nandigram and Kolkata from November 26 to 28, in view of the recent turmoil there.

Mr Harcharan Singh Josh, who will be accompanied by Lama Jotpa, said the Commission had decided to send a team after recieving representations from several members of the minority community, alleging atrocities by the police.

The team will also visit the family of Rizwanur Rehman, the slain graphic designer, in Kolkata, he said.
