Four charred to death in bus-truck collision
Hubli, Nov 23 (UNI) Four passengers, including a woman, were charred to death and over 25 sustained injuries, when a Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus collided with a truck near Madli cross on Pune-Bangalore National Highway in Dharwad district today.
According to police, the vehicles caught fire following the collision, killing four people.
The bus was proceeding to Belgaum from Hassan when the mishap occurred.
The truck belonged to Ghatage-Patil transport company of Kolhapur in Maharashtra.
The deceased included the truck driver.
Fire fighters and police put off the fire and rushed the injured to the Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) here, police added.
