Alert sounded in Karnataka following Serial bomb blast in UP

Bangalore, Nov 23 (UNI) High alert has been sounded in Karnataka following serial bomb blast in Lucknow, Faizadabad and Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh in which more than 13 people were killed and 50 others injured today.

Additional Director General of Police Jyotiprakash Mirji told UNI that additional forces would be deployed in sensitive places and near Vidhana Soudha, the State Secretariat and High Court in the city.

Close watch would be maintained on the state boundaries, near Railway and bus statins. Passengers arriving from outside were subjected to screening, he said.
