NCP candidate Naik-Nimbalkar elected chairman of KDCC Bank
Kolhapur, Nov 22 (UNI) Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) candidate Vittalrao Naik-Nimbalkar and Jansurajya Party candidate Jayant Patil were today elected unopposed as Chairman and Vice-Chairman respectively of Kolhapur District Central Co-operative (KDCC) Bank here.
The Bank has 28 directors on its board.
The opposition Congress and few NCP directors, including NCP MP Sadashivrao Mandlik, remained absent during the election.
The outcome of the election was closely awaited in the District Circle following the ongoing dispute between the groups of two NCP leaders -- Sadashivrao Mandlik and Maharashtra Minister Hassan Mushrif.
However, Mr Mushrif and Jansurajya Party founder and state Non-Conventional Energy Minister Vinay Kore succeeded in retaining their hold in the Bank.
