Bomb found at official's house, militant nabbed in separate incident

Imphal, Nov 22 (UNI) A bomb was found near the residence of a state executive engineer here at Singjamei today.

Police said the bomb was detected by locals, who in turn informed the police. A bomb squad picked up the bomb and detonated it safely. Meanwhile, in another incident, a suspected militant was shot dead by Imphal East police commandos and 32 Assam Rifles personnel at Uchekon Taokhok Mapan in Imphal East late last night .

One nine mm pistol with five live rounds of ammunition were recovered from the slain youth, police said.
