Lady doctor commits suicide

Tirupati, Nov 21 (UNI) An ayurvedic lady doctor allegedly committed suicide by consuming sleeping pills here today.

Police said, Srilakshmi (33), who married Dr Raja Rao, a psychiatrist and social activist, committed suicide by consuming more than 140 sleeping tablets. She was found dead in the bathroom.

On interrogation, Rao, who was running a private hospital, revealed that Srilakshmi had attempted suicide ten times earlier.

She suspected Rao of having "illegal relationship" with other women, he said.

A case was registered against Rao under Section 174.

UNI
