HC rejects writ petition in Nithari case

Allahabad, Nov 21 (UNI) The Allahabad High Court has dismissed a writ petition, filed by a person, who is accused of inciting the kin of Nithari victims to sit on fast.

This order was passed by a division bench comprising Justices Imtiaz Murtaza and A K Singh, on a writ petition filed by S C Mishra of district Gautam Buddhanagar.

An FIR against the petitioner was lodged on October 4 at police Noida's sector 20 police station under IPC section 306.

The Samajwadi Party government had announced compensation worth Rs five lakh and service to a member of each Nithari victims' family.

For fulfillment of their demand, Ram Kishan, Durga Prasad and Pappu Lal sat on fast.

The petitioner was accused of inciting them to sit on fast in order to get political mileage.
