Cong asks J'khand govt to improve condition of roads and power

Ranchi, Nov 21 (UNI) Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee today said that UPA backed Madhu Koda government of the state should focus on improving road and power condition on priority basis.

Party's spokesperson Alok Kumar Dubey here said that Mr Koda himself holds both the porfolios therefore he should initiate steps to expedite developmental works.

Mr Dubey said the condition of power was poor in rural areas and the project of rural electrification was also very slow.

He said that special instructions should be given to the Damodar Valley Corporation and National Thermal Power Corporation so that the project of rural electrification could be completed within targetted time frame.

''The party had already warned the government to improve the dismal situation of the state in two months. Otherwise the party will consider withdrawal of support from the government seriously,'' Mr Dubey said.
