7.21 lakh tonne of imported pulses arrive

New Delhi, Nov 21 (UNI) Of the 11.89 lakh tonnes total pulses contracted for import since April 2006, as much as 7.21 lakh tonne have arrived at Indian ports and are in different stages of distribution.

The agency-wise break up of quantity contracted and arrived as on 13th November included Urad, Moong, Tur, Yellow peas, Chick peas, Red lentils, Masoor, Dunpeas and Channa.

The importing agencies included NAFED, MRTC and STC.
