Maytas bags Gulbarga and Shimoga airport contracts

Hyderabad, Nov 20 (UNI) 'Maytas Infra' today announced that the Karnataka Government has selected the company, NCC Infrastructure Holding limited and VIE India Project development and Holding, to develop and operate airports proposed at Gulbarga and Shimoga on BOT basis.

According to a press release here, two seperate Special Purpose Companies would be set up to take up the projects. The construction period was 24 months from the date of signing the agreement and the consession period is 30 years.

Development of the Airports in the two cities would eventually lead to airside and landside development, which will include construction and development of runway, terminal, ancillary building and other infrastructure facilities.
