Mah assembly to discuss loan waiver to farmers tomorrow

Nagpur, Nov 20 (UNI) The Maharashtra Legislative Assembly will discuss the issue of complete loan waiver to farmers in the state tomorrow.

This was decided at a meeting of group leaders and the ministers concerned in the chamber of Speaker Babasaheb Kupekar here today.

The discussion would be taken up immediately after the regular business of the day, including the question hour and the calling-attention motions, Mr Kupekar told UNI. Members from both sides of the House had similar feelings about the issue and wanted it to be discussed seriously, and had, therefore, agreed to hold the discussion tomorrow, he said.

The meeting of group leaders was held after the proceedings were stalled amid opposition din in the House over the issue.
