London Mayor travels on Delhi Metro, finds it impressive

New Delhi, Nov 20 (UNI) Ken Livingstone, Mayor of London was quite impressed with the Delhi Metro, after travelling in it from Central Secretariat to Rajiv Chowk, said a DMRC spokesman.

He was accompanied by E Sreedharan, Managing Director, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation.

Mr Livingstone said he would like to build several such systems in the city of London.

Commissioner of London transport Peter Hendy who also accompanied the Mayor, descibed it as an extremely remarkable project.

Dr Sreedharan presented the photograph of the visit of Prince Charles in October 2003 to Mr Livingstone as a souvenir.
