Bandh causes loss of about Rs 15 crores to business

Ranchi, Nov 20 (UNI) Jharkhand Truck Owners Association (JTWA) president Uday Shankar Ojha today said the two-day Maoist sponsored bandh has caused loss of about Rs 15 crores.

Mr Ojha said that more than ten thousand trucks remained stranded on the highways at different parts of the state yesterday and today due to the bandh called by CPI(Maoist).

Mr Ojha alleged that the state government also failed to make proper security arrangement during the bandh period.

The Maoist protesting the Nandigram massacre had called for the 48-hour bandh which would end midnight tonight.
