Assembly of five people prohibited in parts of Chandigarh

Chandigarh, Nov 20 (UNI) Chandigarh District Magistrate R K Rao today issued orders, prohibiting assembly of five or more persons, taking out processions, making speeches, raising slogans, sitting in dharnas and carrying of lathis in parts of the city for a period of 60 days.

The areas, where prohibitory orders have been imposed, included sectors 1 to 12, 26 and the Janmarg stretch from the Cricket Stadium Chowk to Housing Board Chowk.

The orders would come into force with effect from the zero hour on November 21 and remain effective upto January 19 next.
