New South Wales premier to visit New Delhi, Mumbai

Mumbai, Nov 19 (UNI) The Premier of the Australian State of New South Wales Morris Iemma will be on a two-day visit to India from November 21 in a bid to boost bilateral ties through business, education and tourism.

Mr Iemma would address and participate in business briefings hosted by FICCI and a roundtable on Collaborative Innovation hosted by CII amongst other key meetings and cultural programs, a press release here today said.

The Premier's programme includes meetings with Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, Vice President M H Ansari, key universities in Delhi to explore a long term relationship, Wipro Chairman Azim Premji and Tata Group Chairman Ratan Tata. The Premier will also visit Tata Consultancy Services (TCS)'s IT Campus in Mumbai.

The Premier's delegation comprises representatives from 45 New South Wales companies, organisations and government departments and eleven New South Wales universities.

Companies taking part in the mission include Illawarra Coal, the Commonwealth Bank, CSIRO, Multiplex, Qantas and Sydney Convention and Visitors Bureau. The delegation includes representatives from established Indian companies like HCL and TCS which have offices in New South Wales.
