Haryana to organise Paralympics Sports for physically challenged

Chandigarh, Nov 19 (UNI) The Haryana government has decided to organise state level Paralympics Sports Competition for physically challenged persons from November 27 to 29 at Bhiwani.

As many as 1640 physically challenged players from all over the state would participate in this sports event.

While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Haryana Sports and Youth Affairs Department said that all the district authorities had been directed to conduct such competitions at the district level and select the persons for participating in the state level event at Bhiwani.

He informed that a total number of nine events would be held which includes athletics track events of 100 metres, 200 metres and 400 metres and athletic field events of long jump, high jump, triple jump, shot-put, disc throw and javelin.
