Youth in Chennai-Mumbai Mail relieved of Rs 3,000 cash
Chennai, Nov 18 (UNI) After lying low for a while, Biscuit bandits have resurfaced again, and this time a youth in the Chennai-Mumbai Mail was relieved of Rs 3,000 in cash and passport yesterday.
Railway police sources said here today that the victim, Abdul Khader (28), was found unconscious in the S-2 coach when the train was taken back to the yard.
Later, the victim was admitted to the Government Hospital where he regained consciousness and found that Rs 3,000 in cash and passport were missing.
Mr Khader, an employee of a private firm in Mumbai, was on his way to Chennai to attend an interview. A man, who boarded the train at Guntakhal, offered him a biscuit laced with sedatives after which Mr Khader became unconscious.
