Shopkeeper consumes poison in HP

Dharamshala, Nov 18 (UNI) A 38-year-old shopkeeper of Dehraian in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh has allegedly committed suicide by consuming pesticide.

Dehra SDM Sita Ram said Vinod Kumar, father of two children, running a shop in Dehraian, left his home Friday morning for his shop but did not return in the evening.

He said a passerby found his body in a field adjacent to his shop last morning.

The body bore no injury marks, he said, adding that it was still not clear as to why he committed suicide.

Mr Ram did not ruled out the possibility of a family feud or loss in business as the reason behind the suicide by the shopkeeper.

The body has been sent for postmortem and investigations are on, he added.
