Punjab to involve entrepreneurs in trade promotion

Ludhiana, Nov 18 (UNI) Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, today reiterated the SAD- BJP government's commitment to promote trade and industry in the state with active participation of the stake holders.

" The best policies are those which are formulated and implemented with the involvement of the stake hilders", the Chief Minister said while paying glowing tributes to Maharaja Aggarsen at a function organised by the Punjab Pradesh Aggarwal Sammelan here.

Lauding the contribution of the Aggarwal community in restructuring the Indian economy, Mr Badal said that the community deserved all appreciation for bringing prosperity not only in the country, but also abroad.

The Chief Minister said that his government would soon establish three boards for large and medium Industry; small scale industry and trade. These boards will have representatives from the concerned fields and will give practical shape to the program of 'Make and implement your own policy,' he added.

The Chief Minister pointed out that the government was committed to make Punjab, a natural investment destination by offering world-class road infrastructure and air-connectivity for which already major initiatives had been taken.

Responding to the demands put forth by Aggarwal Sammelan, Mr Badal said that a subway would be constructed soon on Ferozepur road near Aggar Nagar. He also promised to set up a museum to depict the life and philosophy of Maharaja Aggarsen .
