Fire at poultry farm guts property worth lakhs

Lucknow, Nov 18 (UNI) Property worth several lakhs of rupees was reduced to rubble in a raging inferno that engulfed a poultry farm in Gosaiganj area of the Uttar Pradesh capital today.

Besides, over 3,000 hens were charred in the mishap.

The flames could only be extinguished after fire tenders reached the spot, police said.

Prima facie, short circuit was ascertained as a reason behind the blaze.
