Woman compounder raped

Akola, Nov 17 (UNI) A 30-year-old woman compounder was raped by the relative of a patient here, police said.

The accused Hanif Mohanawala came to the clinic where the victim was working and requested the doctor for administering saline to his sick relative at his residence.

Dr Rajesh Chaudhari asked the victim to accompany the accused for administering saline to the patient. Initially, the victim refused to do so but the doctor forced her to go with the accused, who took her on his motorbike, police said.

The accused then took her to Golwani village diversion and raped her last thursday, police said.

The victim tried to resist but she was abused and beaten up, the police said.

Mohanawala and Dr Chaudhari have been arrested under sections 376 and 326 of IPC after the victim filed a complaint against the two, yesterday.

The victim is a resident of village Sakhardoh. However, She was living in village Shahpur near Mangrulpir tehsil town.

She had joined the private clinic as a compounder three months ago.

The police were still awaiting the medical examination report of the victim.
