Two more Maoists arrested in Orissa
Sambalpur, Nov 17 (UNI) Close on the heels of arrest of four Maoists three days ago from Jujomura area of the district, police has nabbed another two maoists late last night.
Sambalpur District Superintendent of Police Sanjay Kumar today said the two were arrested following the interrogation of the four arrested earlier.
Mr Kumar said some more arrests would be made soon.
Police identifed the duo as Biswa Ranjan Singh (22) of Kiritpur and Krishna Chandra Maharana (20) of Sitlenpali under Dhama police station.
The Police Superintendent said both the activists had admitted their active involvement in Sitlenpali farm house blasting, road blockade in Badarama forest on NH 6 under Jamankira police station, burning of vehicles and machineries of a civil contractor at Jayantpur under Sadar police station, kidnapping of forest staff, including a ranger and DFO, under Kisinda police station and other insurgent activities.
''Girish and Ramdeo were our leaders. But they betrayed us midway. We repent for our past misdeeds,'' they told mediapersons here today.
UNI
