Nashik
Road
suburb
of
the
city
this
morning
as
people
protested
against
the
anti-encroachment
drive
undertaken
in
the
area.
According to police, people protested against the anti-encroachment drive undertaken at Nashik Road Railway Station and Ambedkar Road to demolish all shops and stalls erected alongside the roads.
During the protest, some miscreants also pelted stones on two city buses. The stone pelting created tension in the area for some time. However, no one was injured.
The situation is under control now and adequate police personnel have been deployed in the area, police said.
No case has been registered as well as no arrests have been made so far.
