Road blockade to protest bomb blast

Imphal, Nov 17 (UNI) People of Singjamei today organised a road blockade to protest yesterday's bomb blast in which one person was killed and four others were injured at Paona bazar area here.

Polics said five persons including a woman were injured in the bomb explosion. Of them one person succumbed to his injuries last night at Shija hospital.

Police have launched massive search operations and banned four wheelers from entering the main market areas of this capital town.

No one had claimed responsibility for the killing so far.

Police intensified vigil and regular patrolling to avert recurrence of violence.
