IED defused, tragedy averted
Jammu, Nov 17 (UNI) Troops of Rashtriya Rifles, along with police, detected and defused a powerful IED planted at Sathre on road in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir at 1000 hrs, official sources today said.
Sources said traffic on Poonch-Mandi road remained suspended for three and a half hours when a Road Opening Party (ROP) of Rashtriya Rifles and police detected an IED planted by the militants on the road at early morning to trigger a blast under a civilian or security forces vehicle.
