Himachal Pradesh all out for 179

Bangalore, Nov 17 (UNI) Six time Ranji Champions Karnataka forced Himachal Pradesh to follow-on after bundling them out for 179 in the first innings in the Ranji Trophy Elite 'A' match played in M Chinnaswamy Stadium here today.

Karnataka,badly needs an outright victory, has gained 273 run lead in the first innings.

The Visitors were struggling in their second innings as they lost the wicket of skipper Sandeep Sharma who fell to a low ball by Vinay Kumar without opening the account.

Himachal Pradesh players added just 62 runs to the overnight total of 117 for four, thanks to superb bowling by Captain Anil Kumble (3/55), R Vinay Kumar (3/26) and Sunil B Joshi (2/18) who were striking at quick intervals.

Manvinder Bisla (43) who remained unbeaten was the only run getter for the visitors today.
