Haryana to train unemployed in 'patwari' work

Chandigarh, Nov 17: The Haryana Revenue Department would impart training to the unemployed graduates of the state in patwari (revenue administration) work.

They would be trained at the Patwari Training School and awarded certificates which would help them find jobs in private sector also, Minister of State for Revenue Savitri Jindal said after presiding over the review meeting of District Revenue Officers here yesterday.

The minister said possibilities of appointing Mahila Nambardars would also be examined.

She said various manuals such as Land Record Manual, Land Administration Manual and Registration Manuals would be suitably amended to make them compatible with the system of computerisation of land records.

She said under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, more steps would be taken to improve the present system keeping in view the welfare of the farmers and poor people so that they do not face any difficulty in the offices of revenue officers in the state.
