Cake row: notice issued to Sachin
Indore, Nov 17 (UNI) A local court has issued a notice to cricketer Sachin Tendulkar for allegedly dishonouring the National Flag by cutting a cake with the tricolour on it.
Hearing a revision petition by Rajesh Bidkar, Sessions Judge Mohammed Shamim asked Tendulkar to appear before the court on December 15 and present his side.
Mr Bidkar's counsel Rajendra Sharma appeared before the court on his behalf.
Tendulkar had reportedly cut a cake at a function in Jamaica during the World Cup in March. Mr Bidkar had filed a complaint in a lower court. A revision petition was also filed by him after the lower court quashed the matter.
