Boy killed as cracker bursts

Jayankondam, Nov 17 (UNI) A 14-year-old boy was killed on the spot and another injured, when a cracker burst at Vilanthai village near here last night.

Police said, during the Soora Samharam Festival the cracker fell on a crowd standing in an open terrace of a house to witness the festival, and suddenly burst, killing the boy C Sivakumar.

The injured admitted to a private hospital at Andimadam near here, police added.
