Body of kidnapped boy found

Nashik, Nov 17 (UNI) The body of an 11-year-old boy, kidnapped by some unidentified persons from the city's Satpur area on Thursday, was found here today.

According to the police, the body of Vivek Rajesh Kumar was found near Phachicha Dongar in Satpur area of the city this evening.

Vivek, son of Rajesh Sagar Kumar, a resident of B-77, Gurukrupa apartment, Shramiknagar, Satpur, was allegedly kidnapped by unidentified persons on November 15. The kidnappers had demanded a ransom of Rs two lakh for the boy's safe release.

A case has been filed under section 363 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) in the matter.

Meanwhile, the police have arrested two persons, who had come to collect the ransom amount from Satpur industrial area late last night. The kidnappers called Mr Kumar many times. During one such call, they had asked him to deliver the ransom amount near Dadasaheb Phalke memorial, but none came to collect the money.

One more person, identified as Dharamjeet Rajendra Agarwal, was arrested today. During interrogation, he revealed the spot where the body of the kidnapped boy was dumped. His body was recovered after a search operation, police added.
