BJP to voice Nandigram issue in Parliament: Rajnath

Dehradun, Nov 17 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party Supremo Rajnath Singh critisising Left Party for its dual character today declared that the party would voice Nandigram issue in Parliament on November 19.

Addressing a two-day Executive meeting of Uttarakhand BJP in Haldwani, Mr Singh said Nandigram has been turned into a battlefield. people were being killed and women insulted. ''We veghemently oppose this and would voice the issue in both the Houses of the arliament,'' he aserted, adding that Communists were misguiding the people by calling the issue exclusively a state related.

Resenting the wheat import by the Centre, he said, ''tons of wheat were being imported while government was turning away from providing appropriate costs to Indian farmers.'' Rajnath said BJP was still sticking to its stand on Nuclear deal issue. He also expressed his concern over America installing Radar in Srilanka.

Refuting allegation that BJP had given up Ram Sethu issue, BJP Supremo said the issue was as important as it was for the party. He maintained that BJP had always followed Gandhi's principle of Ram Rajya. ''As Ram Sethu is connected to Gandhi, we are still adamant on it. Instead, Congress had shed it by filling affidavit in the Court,'' he said.
