BJP seeks suspension of question hour in Rajya Sabha

New Delhi, Nov 17 (UNI) The BJP today sent notices seeking the suspension of the question hour in the Rajya Sabha to discuss the ''barbaric atrocities'' perpetrated on women and farmers in Nandigram and adjoining areas in West Bengal for accomodating the Special Economic Zone on November 19.

Senior BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi sent his notices to the Rajya Sabha Secretary General seeking the Chair's permission to suspend the question hour to enable him to raise the issue of turning the areas into a 'war zone' by the state agencies and the CPI(M) cadres, party sources said.
