BHEL union observes fast

Tiruchirapalli, Nov 17 (UNI) Members of the Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) Labour Union affiliated to the CITU observed a day's fast in front of the public sector unit to press their demands.

Union Vice-President S Kulasekaran said they were demanding, among other things, impartial treatment in the recruitment of lower cadre and executive posts and negotiations for wage revision, due from January one this year.
