Basu welcomes LF Govt decision to move Supreme Court

Kolkata, Nov 17 (UNI) Veteran Marxist leader Jyoti Basu today endorsed the Left Front Government's decision to move the Supreme Court against yesterday's Calcutta High Court verdict terming the March 14 Nandigram firing as unconstitutional.

Talking to party mouthpiece " Ganashakti", Mr Basu said, " I could not attend the party meeting. I have learnt that the government has mooted a plan to move the Apex Court against the High Court verdict." The former Chief Minister said the party's decision of moving the Supreme Court was absolutely right.
