13 nominations filed on day 3 for Guj polls, so far 21 candidates

Ahmedabad, Nov 17 (UNI) Six independents, four candidates of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), two of Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) and one of BJP filed their nomination papers on the third day today for 87 seats of the Gujarat Assembly polls.

The first phase of the elections will be held on December 11.

So far, 21 nominations have been filed for the state Assembly polls.

Today, the ruling BJP's nomination was filed by Patel Rameshbhai Ratilal and an independent candidate, Patel Dineshchandra Bhagwanjibhai, from Olpad constituency.

While BSP candidate Thakkar Girish Govindbhai filed his nomination from Abdasha constituency, Savaria Keshvaji Kuvarji filed his nomination as independent from Morbi constituency. Jagdish Naranbhai Parsana and Suresh Mohanbhai Radadiya filed their nominations as independent candidates from Gondal constituency.

Two BSP candidates Gami Jamnadas Kanjibhai and Kansagara Hareshbhai Jerambhai and two independents Paleja Iqbalbhai Allahrakha and Dal Husainbhai Hasambhai filed their nominations from Manavadar constituency.

In Babra constituency, one Jadeja Mahipatsinh Bhavubha filed his nomination as BSP candidate.

Patel Maherunisha Valibhai and Patel Dineshbhai Punjabhai filed their nominations as LJP candidates from Vagra and Bharuch constituencies respectively.
