SUCI organise rally of peasants, workers in protest against SEZs

Bangalore, Nov 15 (UNI) Socialist Unity Centre of India (SUCI) today organised a rally of peasants, workers, women and youth to protest against the government policy on SEZs.

People from different walks of life representing 15 districts participated in the protest march.

SUCI State Secretary K Radhakrishna said due to the SEZ policy poor people had to loose lives in Kalinga Nagar in Orissa and Nandigram in West Bengal. Fertile land near the cities were being sought by the industrialists for real estate purpose and not to provide jobs to the poor youth, he alleged.
