No shortage of fertilizers in state: Minister

Hyderabad, Nov 15 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Agriculture Minister N Raghuveera Reddy today said there was no shortage of fertilizers in the state and it was being distributed with close monitoring.

To a question raised by T G V K Reddy and others in the Legislative Council, during the question hour, the minister said the government was distributing the fertilizers through 400 agro centres in the state.

He said the total consumption of chemical fertilizers, including complex during Khariff season this year was 27.33 lakh tonnes and out of which consumption of complex fertilizers was 7.4 lakh tonnes.

The government was ensuring sufficient fertilizers for the farmers in the state, the minister added.
