Militant among two killed in Kashmir

Srinagar, Nov 15: Security forces killed a militant while police recovered a body in the Kashmir valley since last evening, police said today.

They said troops of 28 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) killed a militant in a gun-battle at Shumriyal in Sogam area of Kupwara district.

The search operation was going on when reports last came in. Further details awaited.

Police recovered the body of 27-year-old Nazir Ahmad Mir from Nunwani village in Anantnag district.

Proceedings under section 174 CrPC have been initiated in this regard, police added.
