City Prof to Chair International Conference at Abu Dhabi

Bangalore, Nov 15 (UNI) Dr H R Viswanath, President of the International Federation for Highrise Structures President, will Chair the 8th International Conference on Multipurpose Highrise Towers and Tall Buildings to be held in Abu Dhabi from December 10.

The theme of the three-day Conference being 'Innovations in Conquest of Vertical Space Reaching for the Skies, according to a release here.

In the wake of bringing down the World Trade Center by the murderous act of terrorism, burying thousands of innocent people as well as the sense of civilized life in the world's financial city New York, this Conference has assumed world wide importance since a few breath taking millennium great towers currently under construction, namely Shanghai World Financial Centre, 492 mtrs, 101 floors, Guangzhou Shanghai 514.8 mtrs, 131 floors, Burj Dubai, Boulevard, Duabi 808 mtrs 195 floors, New Tokyo Tower, Japan 600 mtrs, Freedom tower WTC Manhattan New York, 541 mtrs 69 floors, Bionic tower, Shanghai China, 1228 mtrs, 300 floors, have posed the greatest challenge in preparing the sustainable safe designs to resist direct hit by aircraft crash, high temperature fire hazards, natural disasters like killer earthquakes and devastating high velocity winds.

More than 300 eminent Professors, Scientists, Researchers and Structural experts, from all over the world would participate and deliberate on the above thorny problems to find suitable solutions.

Former BMS College of Engineering Principal Vishwanath would address the Karnataka Sangha in Abu Dhabi on December 9 about the progress made by Karnataka in the field of Technical Education, Information Technology and other fields over the past four decades and also the future vision to make Karnataka the greatest Suvarna Karnataka in India.
