Cabinet approves Railway Ministry's proposal on Convention Committee

New Delhi, Nov 15 (UNI) The Cabinet today approved a proposal for moving by the Railway Minister a resolution in Parliament, which would enable the ministry to implement certain recommendations of the Railway Convention Committee on 'Rate of Dividend' for 2007-08 and ancillary matters.

Briefing reporters on the proceedings of the cabinet meeting, Parliamentary Affairs Minister P R Dasmunsi said the resolution would pave the way for adoption of the recommendations contained in Para Nos. 54, 55, 56, 56, 57, 58, 59, 60 and 61 of the Railway Convention Committee's Sixth Report (2004).

''The decision would enable the Ministry of Railways to implement the said recommendations of the Railway Convention Committee,'' he said.
