Border districts to emerge on tourism map of J

Jammu, Nov 15 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad today said the twin bordering districts-- Rajouri and -- Poonch-- would prominently emerge on the tourism map of the state.

Addressing a function in the Rajouri district today to distribute orders for conferment of ownership rights of state land to over 850 farmers of the district under Roshni scheme, the Chief Minister said Rs 20 crore each were being spent by the Poonch and Rajouri Tourism Development Authorities for creation of tourism related infrastructure in the two districts.

''Jammu-Rajouri-Poonch tourist circuit is also being developed and wayside tourist facilities are being put in place at tourist spots to boost economic development in the area as also generate employment avenues,''Mr Azad said.

''Remote areas like Rajouri are receiving focused attention of his government in matters of development Mr Azad said adding that ddevelopment infrastructure was being created on a major scale.

The Chief Minister also referred to opening of Poonch-Rawlakote and Uri-Muzaffarabad cross LOC roads saying that these have facilitated meeting of the divided families on both sides.
