Yeddyurappa visits Lakshmi, gives Rs 1 lakh cheque to family

Bangalore, Nov 14 (UNI) In a rare gesture, Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa today gave a cheque for Rs One lakh to the father of two-year-old Lakshmi who is recovering at Sparsh Hospital after undergoing a complicated operation to seperate from her conjoined paracitic twin.

The Chief Minister, who visited the Hospital, complimented the team of doctors led by Dr Sharan S Patil, who successfully performed the complex surgery.

Mr Yeddyurappa handed over a cheque to Lakshmi's father Shambhu, a labourer from Rampur on Bihar-Nepal border.

UNI
