HSBC says Q3 profit up on year, US bad debt jumps
LONDON, Nov 14 (Reuters) Europe's biggest bank, HSBC Holdings Plc, reported a rise in third-quarter profit on Wednesday, saying revenue growth across the group had offset a higher charge for bad debts in the United States.
HSBC said it had ''continued to pursue its stated strategy of rebalancing the earnings of the group with investment slanted towards emerging markets''.
