ABVP demands dismissal of Left govt in Bengal

Bhopal, Nov 14 (UNI) The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has demanded the Centre dismiss the West Bengal Government and impose President's rule in the state in view of Nandigram violence.

ABVP's National Secretary Vishnudatt Sharma told reporters here today that inhuman behaviour against poor farmers in Nandigram has exposed the Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee Government.

He held the UPA Government responsible for violence in Nandigram stating that lust for power was preventing the Centre from acting against the Left Government in West Bengal.

Mr Sharma demanded that Mr Bhattacharjee, state minister Lakhan Seth and other culprits be arrested.

He said a five-member team -- headed by Madhya Pradesh ABVP President Ravi Ranjan Singh -- has been sent to West Bengal. Further strategy would be chalked out following their report.
