PPA demands advertisement of vacant posts in NERIST

Itanagar, Nov 13 (UNI) The People's Party of Arunachal(PPA) today asked the North East Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST) authorities to advertise all vacant posts for SC/ST candidates. The party also alleged that the institute had infringed upon the interest of Scheduled Tribe (ST) population in the region.

The PPA, while referring to a documentary evidence collected under the Right to Information (RTI) Act, has sought clarification from the authorities as to why interests of the backward population was not taken care of.

The party further decided to observe whether the central institutes and public sector undertakings (PSUs) in the state were taking care of the interest of the people of Arunachal Pradesh in the matter of appointment and proper implementation of the laid down policies and schemes.

Meanwhile, the party had described the reports on plagiarism by the institute's director was shameful adding that fraudulent means adopted by the director in scientific research would set a wrong precedent to the students of the institute.
