Lawyers to boycott court on Thursday protesting APP's murder

Patna, Nov 13 (UNI) Bihar State Bar Council would boycott judicial functionings on Thrursday in protest against the murder of Assistant Public Prosecutor(APP) of Begusarai Ram Naresh Sharma.

The decision to boycott the court all over the state was taken in a meeting of the Bar Council today. The advocates expressed deep sorrow over the killing of Mr Sharma and condoled his death. The lawyers also expressed concern over their safety and security.

After the meeting, Council member M K Mishra informed that apart from boycotting court on Thursday, the advocates demanded Rs 25 lakhs compensation to the kith of Mr Sharma and government job to one of his family member.

The lawyers also urged the state government to provide firearms license to the advocates who had already applied for.

Mr Sharma was shot dead by unidentified criminals at Pokharia mohalla under town police station in Begusarai district on November 8.
