Delhi is far away, says Sibal on N-deal

New Delhi, Nov 13 (UNI) Congress leader Kapil Sibal today welcomed the statement by CPI General Secretary A B Bardhan on the India-US nuclear deal, and said the talks to achieve a breakthrough was on but ''Dilli door ast (we have a long way to go)''.

''We are talking with the allies and others to convince them about the advantage of the deal, that it is an honourable deal.... We hope the process of understanding and appreciating the deal continues, but 'Dilli door ast (Delhi is far away)''', Mr Sibal told reporters here On Mr Bardhan's statement, he said: ''It is good he has made the statement.'' Mr Bardhan had yesterday said that the UPA Government would be allowed to go to the IAEA for a safeguards agreement on the deal as long as no pact was signed before getting it cleared from the Left.
