CSI annual national convention from Nov 28

(CSI),
the
oldest
and
largest
organisation
of
IT
professionals
in
India,
will
hold
its
42nd
Annual
Convention
here
from
November
28.
The theme of the four-day convention would be 'GenNext India- Harnessing the Power of IT,' Programme Committee Chairman Vinay Deshpande said yesterday.
The convention would focus on ''IT Now'' and ''GenNext'' both present and upcoming technologies and ''Applications of IT. It will be the event to listen, learn, network and profit for every IT professionals'' he added.
Mr Deshpande said a special session on ''Remembering Prof R Narasimhan,'' the doyen of Indian Computer Science would be held on November 29 as a tribute to the Professor, who passed away recently.
''Almost all IT leaders in India were expected to participate and speak during the event,'' he said.
Besides, a panel discussion on ''Women in IT,'' the convention would host a pre-convention tutorials for students, including presentation of papers on the subject by experts, poster presentation, talks by academicians and industry personalities.
